Master bedroom.

We were invited by long-term clients to transform the master bedroom of their Sydney harbourside Federation home. The brief was to reimagine the space with a refined layout that would seamlessly accommodate a new ensuite while giving the room a complete refresh.

Inspired by the sweeping bushland and water views visible from every angle, we developed a scheme that brought the outside in. To create depth, texture, and a cocoon-like atmosphere, the room was fully wrapped in a grasscloth wallpaper. A custom-designed bedhead and base were crafted to the precise height that frames the views when reclining, complemented by a bespoke cabinet at the foot of the bed to discreetly house TV and AV equipment. With a concealed lift mechanism, the television can be raised for use or lowered to preserve the outlook.

The room was completed with new bedside tables, tactile linens, custom cushions, and softly pleated lampshades, all carefully curated to sit harmoniously alongside the clients’ treasured antique furniture. The result is a restful sanctuary that balances modern comforts with timeless character, perfectly attuned to its harbourside setting.
